Our Solution
At the heart of PeeCycling is a modular, high-capacity engineering system designed to decouple sanitation from traditional, wasteful infrastructure. We have moved beyond the laboratory to create a commercial-scale resource recovery plant that operates as a decentralized "black box" for urban and industrial environments.


Modular Nutrient Recovery
Our primary technology utilizes advanced membrane processes, specifically Reverse Osmosis (RO), to treat human urine at the source. Instead of flushing these valuable nutrients into the sea or through energy-intensive municipal sewers, our system extracts concentrated liquid fertilizers rich in Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K). We have successfully demonstrated this at scale with a commercial-scale plant capable of processing 3,200 litres of urine per day. This localized production creates a sustainable, circular supply chain that reduces the carbon footprint associated with both synthetic fertilizer manufacturing and conventional wastewater treatment.
Water Reclamation & Reuse
Beyond nutrient extraction, our process addresses the critical challenge of water scarcity. For every litre of urine processed, our system recovers about 700 mL of water that can be reused for non-potable applications, such as irrigation or industrial cooling. Crucially, our technology is designed to fully recover flush water from urinals in facilities that do not use waterless systems. By capturing and recycling this water on-site, we prevent the loss of significant volumes of municipal water, building vital resilience for high-traffic facilities in drought-prone areas. This dual-output model ensures that we maximize the value of every drop, transforming a sanitation burden into a multi-resource asset.
